The "A" List

The Mississippi Tea Party is working to expose those who are promoting the policies of United Nations Agenda 21 in Mississippi. Welcome to "The A List" which, in this, case does not represent people we favor, as they are not working to protect the sovereignty of the United States, choosing instead to devote their God-given talents and political connections to further the destructive and insidious policies knowwn as Agenda 21.

Jessica Upshaw, MS House, Chairman of Conservation and Water Resource Committee

Rep. Jessica Upshaw, Mississippi House

Representative Jessica Upshaw is a Republican member of the Mississippi House of Representatives. She currently serves as Chairman of the Conservation and Water Resources Committee.

The Anti-Agenda 21 Bill, H.B. 801, submitted by Representative Becky Currie was sent to Rep. Upshaw's committee on February 20 and it ultimately died in that committee on March 6 with no action. The bill was submitted in response to a Resolution exposing and opposing Agenda 21 which was passed unanimously by the Republican National Committee on January 13. CLICK HERE to view the Resolution.

When asked why she stated that she would not allow the bill to get to the House floor for a vote, she simply stated that she did not feel it is the right time.

Representative Upshaw chose to make an arbitrary decision rather than reviewing the documentation presented to her and to the Conservative Coalition and in doing so, robbed our legislators of an opportunity to protect our state from the growing tentacles of Agenda 21.

Conne Moran, Mayor of Ocean Springs

Connie Moran, Ocean Springs Mayor and Board Member for Congress of the New Urbanists

Here is a link to a video of Mayor Moran. In the video, she discusses the current building code 'archaic' with no mixed use. She says they will completely throw out the existing building codes and replace it with a new Unified Development Code. The model she promotes is first floor retail and upper floors office and residential. She also discusses utilizing 'Complete Streets' and 'Greenways' . These concepts come directly from Smart Growth, the United Nations urban strategy:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LLY07qVJuEE

Here is a link to a video where she discusses having a new Visioning Session. This is a method recommended by The American Planning Association that appears to get public input while guiding participants, through the use of a trained facilitator, to a pre-determined result. The APA is an NGO  (non-government organization) certified by the United Nations who was commissioned by President Clinton's Executive Order in 1993 to convert the policies of Agenda 21 to soft law, which they released in a publication called "Grow Smart', delivered to every city, county and government agency in the country. and later called 'Smart Growth'.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMBDqRJjQTA&feature=plcp

Mayor Moran also sits on the Board of Directors for the Congress for the New Urbanism.

Trent Lott, Former Ms. Senator

Former Senator Trent Lott Lobbies for U.N. Treaty He Vehemently Opposed

Trent Lott Lobbies for Law of the Sea Treaty He Vehemently Opposed

Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott is lobbying for the Senate to ratify a treaty that would undermine American sovereignty and damage the country economically – incidentally, characterizations that Lott himself has advanced.

During his time in the Senate, Lott vehemently opposed the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea, also known as the Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), saying it would create a “U.N. on steroids” that “would undermine U.S. military operations … and impair navigational rights” by subjecting maritime disputes to U.N. authority.

Lott denounced the measure in this 2007 press conference held by Sen. Jim DeMint (relevant segment begins at 1:33):

But despite his previous opposition, disclosure forms filed for the first quarter of 2012 (embedded below) show that Lott is one of four lobbyists from the Breaux Lott Leadership Group, a subsidiary of lobbying giant Patton Boggs LLP, pushing for Senate ratification of the treaty.
