Grassfire Nation has learned that Gibson Guitars, a Nashville, TN based company has been raided twice by federal marshals over the last number of weeks over the type of wood used in their guitars.

Despite the fact that no charges have been filed, the government did confiscate product and shutdown Gibson
production, putting hundreds of real jobs in jeopardy!

A review of the law in question also makes illegal the purchase, ownership and resale of Gibson guitars.

This gross abuse of power is already being confronted as a number of Tea Party organizations, are planning a rally for Gibson on October 8, in Nashville, TN.

Grassfire Nation officials will be on the ground to hand-deliver at least 25,000 "I Stand with Gibson" petitions during that rally!

The tale of the Gibson guitar raid — the one focused on the legendary guitar maker’s alleged importation and use of illegal wood — has taken an odd turn. Now CEO Henry Juszkiewicz is claiming the Feds told him that some of his problems “would go away” if the company used Madagascar labor.

Is the United States participating in the trading of carbon credits outside any enacted legislation? Under the failed 'cap and trade' legislation, developed countries can earn carbon credits for every job they ship overseas. This would affect over 1,200 jobs held by Americans in 3 states.

It was sadly ironic that Texas energy company Luminant announced it would lay off 500 employees on the same morning that President Obama unveiled legislation designed to promote job growth. The company said that a new rule from the Environmental Protection Agency will force it to cease operations at two electricity generating plants, and close three coal mines.

The EPA Gestapo Attacks Again

The Environmental Protection Agency, that has destroyed industry after industry, this time is focused on protecting the Sage Bush Lizard that happens to live in West Texas in the Permian Oil Basin. In the next six months, the EPA,  Obama's Gestapo and US Fish and Game will determine if the Sage Brush Lizard is an endangered species.   If that happens many oil rigs will have to shut down, which will result in the loss of thousands of jobs.   And, since 20% of current US oil production comes from the Permian Basin in Texas, that means we will be even more dependent on foreign sources for our energy production.    This is crazy.
